Sambar Powder Dry from Rao's Maathrukrupa Home Products.
Cooking Method: Cook 100 gms of Toor Dal with 1/2 ltr of water. Add 1/2 tea spoon of Turmeric powder and spoon full of edible oil while cooking the Dal. Before the Dal is fully cooked add chopped Onion, Tomato or any other vegetables. After the Dal and Vegetables are fullly cooked add 3 to 4 tea spoon full of Sambar Powder, required quantity of Salt and Tamrind pulp (in place of tamrind, tomatoes can be used). Cook the whole for 10 minutes. Season it with Mustard, Jeera, Pinch of Asafoetida and Curry leaves and some Coriander leaves.
