Samprathi cold process handmade soaps are made from scratch with all skin loving oils like olive, coconut, palm, sunflower, rice bran, castor, sesame oil and butters like kokum , shea butter etc with sodium hydroxide (lye).
Soap making or saponification is a simple chemical reaction between oil and an alkali to produce the salt of that oil (soap) and glycerin and no lye is left in the end product which is soap itself. Most commercial soap manufacturers remove glycerin from the soaps and sell it as an independent product.
The advantage of this method of soap-making is that it manages to keep most of the properties of the ingredients through the soap-making process, which in turn help in moisturizing your skin. It also retains 100% of glycerin.
They use fruit/ vegetable purees, clays, milk cream, milk (cow, goat and coconut milk), essential and fragrance oils. These provide a unique natural color with soothing scents and rustic appearance to our soaps. Their soaps are priced at competitive chargers and might vary depending on the ingredients added to them.
